I have been practicing as an Osteopath since 1997. My qualification is a BSc (Hons) Osteopathic Medicine. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and am also a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
In addition to my degree, I have studied Cranial Osteopathy, Myofascial Release and Fascial Stretching.
I am also a qualified Pilates instructor and although I do not run classes, I can give advice, as part of a treatment session, on correctly engaging the abdominal muscles and, along with Fascial stretching, check how you use your body.
I have a strong interest in Fascia and how it affects the whole body. I use this along with all my osteopathic knowledge to provide unique and effective treatments and to give total body care.
I enjoy reading, gardening, sitting in the garden, sunsets and wonderful views. I recently went on an amazing trip to the Galapagos Islands.
I graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelor degree in Osteopathy in 2013, and I'm registered with the General Osteopathic Council. Since qualifying, I was able to combine my love for travel with my job and have worked in various clinics overseas, including in Australia, New Zealand, India and Malta.
Whilst in India I held a teaching role within a hospital, training and mentoring Osteopathy students, whilst also experiencing a variety of rare and complex cases.
I enjoy treating a wide range of complaints from everyday aches and pains to sports injuries and chronic conditions. I use a wide variety of treatment methods including soft tissue work, joint mobilisations and manipulations; as well as having over 6 years experience in cranial sacral therapy, which is a gentle approach using touch and pressure across the head and body to release physical stress. I am also a qualified yoga and meditation teacher, and I understand the value of having a holistic and well-rounded approach to treatment.
I'm passionate about getting to the root cause of my patient's discomfort by listening deeply and empathically to ensure that any proposed treatment is bespoke and right for the individual. I aim to create a management plan that will help ease symptoms quickly and effectively, while also promoting healthy lifestyle changes to achieve long term solutions.
I like to keep busy in my spare time and enjoy swimming, painting, practising yoga, and walks in the park and the countryside.
